Therapy Session

Art Therapy is a mental health profession that enriches the loves of individuals, families, and communities through use of the creative process and art making.

Art Therapy provides the space to express our inner thoughts and feelings by creating. It can be challenging to effectively communicate, verbally, our distress; however, the creative process can provide a safe space to both contain and share our inner struggles.

To engage in art therapy, you do not have to be a talented artist. There is no "right or wrong" way to create, as long as you have an open mind and willingness to try.

" Art enables us to find ourselves and

lose ourselves at the same time."

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a psychotherapy treatment model which enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences.

The human body moves towards healing and recovery when injured. When we break a bone our body will initiate the healing process. This concept is held to be true for both the body and for our mind. By using EMDR protocol people are able to heal from the most troubling of past experiences.

EMDR is an eight-phased treatment where the clinician and client work collaboratively toward processing overall emotional distress and negative beliefs held by the individual.

" You are not lazy, unmotivated, or stuck.

After years of living your life in survival

mode, you are exhausted. There is a

                difference."
